The proposed amendments to the Hodgman government’s controversial anti-protest laws do nothing to address the major concerns.

"Dropping amendments out at just before 5pm prior a public holiday is effectively a confession that Mr Harriss knows that they do not address the major concerns raised by a range if stakeholders," Greens Justice spokesperson Nick McKim MP said today.

"These desperate and minimalist amendments do not fix the Bill, and arguably make it more likely to be struck down by the High Court."

"Mr Harriss has again refused to listen, and has now dug himself into an indefensible position," Mr McKim said.
