Tens of thousands of greyhounds will be condemned to misery and death as a result of NSW Premier, Mike Baird, caving in to the industry and reversing the ban he announced two short months ago.

Like his Tasmanian colleague, Premier Hodgman, Mike Baird has caved in to a cruel industry to allow the continued abuse of animals for profit.

Australians admire politicians with conviction and courage, even if they don't agree with their decisions or positions on any given matter.

Premier Baird's reputation for conviction and courage has now been irreparably damaged.

The misery and deaths of tens of thousands of beautiful greyhounds will be on his head, and those of his colleagues who are prepared to turn a blind eye to the cruelty at the heart of this industry.

Just as Will Hodgman made a terrible and unethical mistake in not moving to end greyhound racing in Tasmania, the NSW Premier has made probably the biggest and gravest mistake of his political career.
