Biosecurity funding is still a big problem for Tasmania. This won't be solved simply by adding extra detector dogs.

Three detector dog teams are not enough to stem the flow of issues from Biosecurity Tasmania.

With budget strains, staff who are overworked and under pressure, what this vital service needs is appropriate resourcing from the government.

Biosecurity Tasmania needs extra funds, not just dogs, in order to protect Tasmania's agricultural sector from the threat of pests, weeds and disease.
