Attorney General, Vanessa Goodwin, was happy to talk up picking up the slack of their Federal colleagues when it comes to funding to community legal centres, but refused to consider the Environmental Defenders Office.

The EDO was denied funding by the Commonwealth Government and was still overlooked by the State Liberals. They were allocated a small $10,000 allowance, but that's barely enough to cover paper and stamps.

The EDO is a essential community legal service which reduces the load on our planning system and offers advice no other can.

Instead of discussing funding, the Attorney-General had the hide to suggest that they could operate on private donations.

The Attorney-General can use the National Partnership excuse, but in reality it's a simple choice of a government to fund a community legal service or not.
