The Liberal government has voted with Labor to avoid proper scrutiny for Forestry Tasmania at the Government Business Enterprise Scrutiny Committee hearings.

"The LibLabs have ensured that Forestry Tasmania will not be scrutinised until late on the Friday afternoon, and will not be at the table for long enough to adequately hold it responsible for its $43 million loss in the last financial year," said Greens Leader of Business Nick McKim MP.

"It's disappointing but not surprising that Labor would join with the Liberals, given their joint complicity for the ongoing losses of Forestry Tasmania."

"$43 million would ensure the jobs of 430 teachers and nurses, and the Tasmanian people deserve to have this loss properly scrutinised by the parliament," Mr McKim said.
