Heritage Minister Groom's plan to cut one third of properties from the Heritage Register has hit hurdle after hurdle, culminating today in the resignation of the manager of his 'Integrity Project'.

Why has the person who was charged with overseeing this project walked away in disgust?  It's a question the Minister did not answer today.

The ironically named 'integrity project' is clearly in disarray, which is not surprising given the Minister's original arbitrary  one third removal of properties on the Register.

Tasmania has a nationally unparalleled European built heritage estate and Minister Groom should be doing all within his power to ensure it is protected for future generations.

The Heritage Protection Society and heritage experts across Tasmania have a very real concern that Tasmania's remarkable European cultural heritage is being put at risk through Minister Groom's process.

The resignation of the project manager should be the final straw in the Liberals' flawed plan to gut the Heritage Register.
