It's very disturbing news that two Tasmanian schools have been named in the international child exploitation ring.

We're pleased the Department of Education are investigating. The young women and girls who've been caught up in this must be protected while any investigation is undertaken.

This kind of exploitation is a result of the persistence of misogynistic culture. It is a disrespect for women that is being abused by international predators.

We need to be teaching our boys to respect girls and women from an early age. This reinforces the need for the Respectful Relationship Program to be rolled out in all schools, from an early age.

We hope the young people involved, and their families, are provided with the full support they need.
