Liberal Privatisation Agenda Becoming Clearer

Despite the Premier's claims in April last year that they wouldn't sell public assets, we now know his government is considering selling the iconic Treasury building in Hobart and government buildings in St John Street, Launceston.

The planned sale of Treasury and St John Street buildings would be on top of giving away up to 500 Housing Tasmania properties and the sale of Forestry Tasmania's plantations.

This government has a privatisation agenda that is becoming clearer and clearer every day they are in office and they should be upfront with Tasmanians about it.

The Liberals apparently see public assets as their personal plaything, but no government owns public buildings and properties. They belong to the people of Tasmania.
