Cassy O'Connor MP | Greens' Leader and Forests spokesperson
On ABC radio this morning, the Executive Chairman of Neville Smith Forest Products emphatically called on the government not to reignite conflict over the State's High Conservation Value forests.
Even Guy Barnett's self-proclaimed biggest fan doesn't want the Liberals to lead the industry and environment groups back into the trenches.
Last week, Mr Barnett claimed Neville Smith Forest Products were backing the government's plan to log the State's High Conservation Value forests.
Today, Mr Neville Smith said they didn't want contentious wood, and wanted peace in the forests.
Mr Barnett and his Liberal colleagues are getting increasingly desperate in their attempt to spark forest conflict, now publicly misleading the community.
The only people standing next to Guy Barnett are his colleagues. Industry hard heads are nowhere to be seen.
The industry don't want the fight, and neither do conservationists. It can't be clearer, the only people who want conflict in the State's forests are the Liberals.
