The resignation of Sue Smith from the Ministerial Advisory Council on Forestry confirms that Minister Paul Harriss will not tolerate dissenting views when it comes to the mendicant GBE that is Forestry Tasmania.
First we saw Minister Harriss gagging Council members for having a view other than his own, now we are seeing the consequence of those views.
Ms Smith's comments that Forestry Tasmania be shut down now ring truer than ever.
Logging native forest has been a loss-making enterprise for a long time now. It's time for Minister Harriss to listen to those around him, not silence them.
Minister Harriss has clearly done his very best to quash any dissent and ensure his Advisory Council consists solely of yes men.
