We are proud to be the sponsor of Party In The Paddock’s Parliamentary petition calling for pill testing to be trialled in Tasmania. This is critically important in the lead-up to the summer festival season.

Pill Testing Australia’s trials at Groovin’ the Moo – supported by the ACT government – saw reduced harm and drug use, and provided critical health advice to festival goers.

We applaud the organisers of Party In The Paddock who are championing the call for pill testing in Tasmania. PITP want the young people who attend their festival to return home safely.

In light of the New South Wales Coronial findings, the Hodgman Government’s continued opposition to pill testing is now untenable. Deputy Coroner Grahame was clear – pill testing saves lives.

A successful pill testing model is ready to be implemented in Tasmania. The Hodgman Government must act on the NSW Coroner’s recommendation and support Party In The Paddock to provide pill testing at their festival this summer.
