The Premier was given a golden opportunity in Question Time this morning to let Tasmanians know neither he, nor any other Liberal Minister or MP, would accept the 10.5% pay rise when it flows through, but he failed to do so.

The House of Assembly is today debating a sham disallowance Motion which will have no effect, as the majority of MLCs have indicated they support the pay rise awarded by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission.

Because of the way the Premier has engineered the legislation which led to the Tasmanian Industrial Commission's 10.5% pay rise determination, the money will flow through.

The Premier can huff and puff as much as he likes.  He knows a pay rise is on its way.

The question now is, will he and his Liberal colleagues pocket the money?
