Cassy O’Connor MP | Greens Leader

On behalf of the Tasmanian Greens, I wish outgoing Braddon Liberal MP, Adam Brooks, all the best.

We recognise Mr Brooks has experienced significant personal and health struggles in recent times and that this has taken a heavy personal toll.

I hope he is well along the road to recovery.

It’s fair to say Mr Brooks’ contribution in Parliament has been mixed.

Adam Brooks spoke up for his Braddon constituency and loyally defended his Liberal colleagues, but his constant attacks on the Greens and the wider conservation movement will not be missed.

On a personal level outside the Chamber, I always found Mr Brooks to be affable, likeable and good humoured.

Adam Brooks still has plenty to contribute to his community.

I hope Mr Brooks recovers well and is soon able to invest his considerable energies into something positive, about which he’s passionate and that brings him happiness.
