Tasmania is burning and we have an unfolding energy crisis, yet the Premier is nowhere to be seen. These are the times when people need their leaders to lead.

When devastating floods hit Queensland in 2011, then-Premier Anna Bligh was there for her community every day, involved with the crisis response and briefing Queenslanders through her daily media appearances.

Premier Hodgman would do well to learn from the former Queensland Premier.  This is not a time to take a back seat, it's a time to lead.

In 2016, we have seen brief appearances from the Premier at photo opportunities and good news events.

Tasmanians are hurting and worried about both the bushfires and energy security.  They need to hear from their Premier in this time of need.
