So Jeff Kennett wants a mega-stadium for Tasmania. Who cares?
First we had Gil McLachlan, then Jeremy Rockliff and his industry mates, now it’s Jeff Kennett. He might be the latest man in a suit to demand a stadium, but he doesn’t even have a role with the AFL anymore.
While the out of touch suited-up blokes might want this unneeded, billion dollar stadium, the majority of Tasmanians don’t.
They want public monies invested in the massively overstretched health system. They want more homes for Tasmanians.
Tasmanians deserve an AFL and AFLW team, but they don’t need the lecture from an AFL has-been who has made a living telling people how it’s going to be.
Hawthorn didn’t want Jeff Kennett’s pearls of wisdom anymore, and neither do we.
