Dr WOODRUFF - I am not sure that that was answering the question. Mr Sean Terry, the acting executive director of energy in the Department of State Growth, informed an Estimates committee two weeks ago that Hydro shares the gas transportation costs with other consumers. Minister, can you tell me what proportion of the transportation costs Hydro pays for gas transportation?

Mr BARNETT - Thank you for the question.

Mr ALBERTINI - I would not have that information to hand but we can take it on notice

Dr WOODRUFF - Take it on notice, thank you. Is the proportion, or the percentage, of the transport costs that Hydro pays for gas transportation, directly proportional to the amount of gas that is required by the Bell Bay Power Station - or are we paying the cost of transportation for private businesses that use gas?

Mr ALBERTINI - I'd need to take that on notice as well. Our contracting arrangements change by volume, so exactly what proportion we are paying, I couldn't be sure. I would need to take that on notice.

Dr WOODRUFF - Is gas to other sectors, in Tasmania, effectively being subsided by Hydro Tasmania in any form?

Mr EVERY-BURNS - This question is very detailed. Again, I can't go to it directly, so if you would like to put that on notice. We will simply have to. I can't do anything else.

Dr WOODRUFF - Thank you.
