That this House:

1.     Notes the Government’s decision to ignore the recommendations of the Legislative Council Government Administration Committee A regarding medicinal cannabis;

2.     Further notes that the Government has not made a formal response to the Tasmanian Parliament or the Committee.

3.     Condemns the Government for ignoring the plight of medicinal cannabis users by failing to introduce legislation to immediately provide protection to people who are currently using medicinal cannabis from criminal charges associated with possession and administration of medicinal cannabis on compassionate grounds, and to develop a legislative framework to enable the use of medicinal cannabis under medical supervision; and

4.     Calls on the government to immediately implement the recommendations of the Legislative Council Government Administration Committee A reports on legalised medicinal cannabis.
