Ms O'CONNOR - Okay, thanks. Treasurer, perhaps this is one more for the Secretary of Treasury and Finance to answer but, through you, we know that TASCORP issues the bonds under the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) (subclass 188) visa. How much revenue was raised under the Migration Bond Scheme from Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) (subclass 188) visa participants in the past financial year? Can you tell us how many individuals invested?
Mr GUTWEIN - I will just check. Do you want to repeat that because I've got a fair bit of -
Ms O'CONNOR - How much revenue was raised under the Migration Bond Scheme from Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) (subclass 188) visa participants in the past financial year and how many individuals invested?
Mr GUTWEIN - This might capture it and, Heath, jump in if it doesn't. The value of outstanding migration bonds in our portfolio is small, totalling about $2 million. They have been issued to three investors. One is in joint names, I make that point. There have been no investor bonds issued since 20 June 2019.
Ms O'CONNOR - Why is that, can you tell us? What happened there? In 2018 19 we understand it was at about $3.5 million.
Mr BAKER - They are for fixed terms of four years, these bonds that are issued, so we haven't seen a huge inflow of demand from these type of visa applications. It's probably more Department of State Growth that approves or does the initial approval process and then they've got to go through checks and balances before they get to the stage of having to invest in a TASCORP bond with us.
Ms O'CONNOR - Is there any way to get line of sight on who the investors are?
Mr FERRALL - I will take that one on notice.
