Debates and Speeches in Parliament
Dr WOODRUFF (Franklin) - Madam Deputy Speaker, we have sat in this parliament - those of us who have been here for five-and-a-half years under this Liberal Government - and watched as the Treasurer has practiced his dark arts of sneakiness, deception and dishonesty, cruel cuts, and then overlaid with that, amazing spin.
Ms O'CONNOR (Clark - Leader of the Greens) - Madam Speaker, I always have great faith in our young people, in their capacity to learn and to grow and to be active in our community and to drive change. That faith was reinforced last Friday on the lawns of Parliament House when at least 15 000 people gathered on the lawns.
Dr WOODRUFF (Franklin) - Madam Speaker, I have a lot to say to this motion. We support the bulk of this motion.
Ms O'CONNOR (Clark - Leader of the Greens) - Dr Broad, you never fail to divide and disappoint.
