Good morning extended Green tribe! It's lovely to see your faces and to personally thank you for travelling from wherever you came to be here in beautiful Deloraine.  

Thank you, particularly to all the Lyons members and their helpers for bringing us all together this weekend.

We meet on the traditional lands of the Pallittorre people, who - as it was for unknown thousands of the first Tasmanians - were removed from their country by trickery, force, at the point of a gun.

Centenary of National Parks Highlights Failures of Minister

On this weekend's centenary of national parks, Parks Minister, Matthew Groom, should admit Tasmania's protected areas are under unprecedented threat as a result of Liberal policies.

Mr Groom sure has a hide, trumpeting the State's national parks at the same time as his government is opening them up to far greater commercial exploitation.

Farrell Family to Benefit from Liberal Pork Barreling

With the Federal Liberals splashing public money on unapproved private developments in Tasmania's reserves, questions need to be answered about an apparent perversion of process and their priorities.

Private interests, among them the Farrell family, are the beneficiaries of $22 million in public funding being promised by the Liberals to shore up their Northern seats. 

Danger to Freycinet National Park Revealed

The full extent of the Liberals' destructive plan for the Freycinet National Park has been revealed by a group of concerned Coles Bay residents, business and shack owners.

The overlay map released publicly today shows that Minister Groom plans to open the entire Coles Bay Visitor Services Zone to new commercial leases and tourism development.
