Supertrawler Still Unwelcome in Tasmania

Rosalie Woodruff MP | Greens Environment spokesperson

The protest outside the Liberal Party Conference is another reminder of the strong opposition within the community to a supertrawler in Tasmanian waters.

All Tasmanians want to see commercial and recreational fishing survive for the long-term and a supertrawler puts that at risk.

Hoovering-up of the base fish stock threatens our fisheries - small pelagic fish are the bread and butter of the food chain.
