Amendment New Clause A brought up by Ms Haddad and read the first time as follows:
“(A) Section 125A is amended as follows: (1) Section 125A is renamed: Persistent sexual abuse of a child (2) Section 125A (2) is amended: omit the words ‘maintains a sexual relationship with a young person’ and replace with the words ‘persistently sexually abuses a child’ (3) The Charge is renamed: Persistent sexual abuse of a child under the age of 17 years. (4) Section 125 (6)(a) is amended: omit the words ‘sexual relationship between the accused and the young person was maintained’ and replace with the words ‘sexual abuse of the young person by the accused occurred’ ” |
